A Dream Come True

A locally owned bakery specializing in French pastries and Southern favorites with a full coffee program. A drive-thru service is offered, as well as a light lunch menu. As a local business owner for over 25 years, Annette Goodrum knew how to survive and thrive as an entrepreneur. But after so many years of success, she had a new goal: Creating her own bakery. Always at home in the kitchen, Annette decided to follow her dream of becoming a pastry chef. In 2013 she was accepted into the Patisserie program at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, France. After her arrival in Paris, her vision began to take shape. She completed the basic, intermediate and superior courses to receive her letter of completion. But she knew she needed to learn more. Annette went on to study at the French Pastry School in Chicago while still running her business. She made a crucial decision, selling her business to pursue her passion full-time. Annette went all-in on creating a bakery unlike anything the Brazosport area has ever seen. With a little more school (Texas Coffee School-Barista 2016 and French Pastry School, Chicago, Illinois Boulangerie Diploma 2016) and some careful planning, Annette was ready to take the next step. And so, Paris-Texas Bakery was born. Construction began in early 2016 and the bakery opened for business in October 2017.

Our bakery combines the best tastes of French cuisine with the comfort and hospitality of Texas. With our unique take on baking you can enjoy our southern biscuits and gravy or feast on our flaky breakfast croissants – or both. We won’t judge!
